UrbanMeasure has been a key provider of property measurements in western Canada, working with five separate residential guidelines over a sixteen-year period and counting. In addition, we also sat on the board, providing experience-based feedback and all related imagery during the development process of the Alberta based RMS (Residential Measurement Standard).
You can rest assured, knowing your residential and commercial listing is protected with all field staff extensively trained in all guidelines and all qualified as architectural technologists or similar. All measurements are taken manually with an accuracy level to 1/10th of an inch. We do not put our trust in 3D scanned measurements as they have been proven time and time again for their inaccuracies and we have the documentation to prove it upon request.
Every order is protected with our $1,000,000 E&O policy and includes a Schematic drawing (perimeter sketch) that visually represents, in detail, exactly how the measurements were developed. Including measure lines.

Familiar with all property types of the ANSI/BOMA (Building owners and management association) guidelines, including the newest office 2017 release, we are ready to assist. From full lease-space calculations of entire complexes and buildings to basic ideas of rentable/leasable space for individual units. A detailed area summary report and perimeter sketch are provided with each order.

This service is available nation-wide. We understand that pre-build projects and certain properties can be inaccessible for several reasons. We also realize the need to save costs on travel if there is no need for us to make the journey. With this being said, you still need to get your property/listing up to regulation and we can help with the use of scanned blueprints or CAD files. Email us the files or sketch chart, assuming they will be readable for use and we’ll take care of the rest. We’ll also provide you with a 15% discount off our Residential Measurements rates to complete it.

UrbanMeasure “Marketing Floor Plans” are absolutely crucial to providing potential buyers and renters with a clear and concise visual representation of the property layout and added details they may otherwise miss. This is a perfect service to compliment our photography service to better showcase the property. Matterport 3D is a fantastic walk through scanning system that includes the 3D dollhouse view that buyers have learned to love. Although we are unable to brand the service around you, like we can with our uTOUR system, it does have some added ability as a 360 scanning system opposed to 360 camera. Including the ability to develop a point-cloud file for renovation/development purposes. Approximate time on site required is 1-3 hours depending on property size.
